Short answer
IGOverlay is a Chrome extension that captures your Instagram Live comments and shows them as an animated chat overlay. Pick “chat stack” for a rolling chat box or “single card” for one comment at a time, then add it to OBS or Streamlabs as a Browser Source.
Two layouts: chat stack or single card
| Chat stack | A rolling list of the latest comments, like a chat box. Choose how many stay visible and whether new comments enter at the top or bottom. |
|---|---|
| Single card | One comment at a time, like a lower third. Comments queue up and play in order with a pause you control. |
Customise every comment card
- Colours, gradients, card opacity, corner radius or angular corner cut
- 8 fonts, size, weight, username badge or plain username
- Avatars as circle, rounded or square, with an optional ring
- Glow, shadow, backdrop blur, accent bar and HUD-style decorations
- Anchor top, centre or bottom; align left, centre or right; set a max width
Motion that feels like a broadcast
Pick from 9 entrance and 7 exit animations, adjust speed and bounce, reveal text with a wipe or typewriter effect, and add idle motion such as float, pulse or shimmer. Everything previews live in the Overlay Studio before you save.
Where you can use it
The chat overlay is a web page with a transparent background, so it works in OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, vMix, XSplit, Meld Studio, Prism Live Studio and any other app with a browser source.
