This Privacy Policy explains how IGOverlay collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Service.
1. Information we collect
Account information: your email address and authentication details when you create an account.
Overlay configuration: the settings, colors, and preferences you save for your overlays.
Usage data: basic analytics such as feature usage and device/browser type, used to improve the Service.
Live comment data: comments captured from connected platforms are processed in real time to render your overlay. We do not sell this data.
Browser extension (IGOverlay for Chrome): the extension only runs on instagram.com. While you have pressed its Overlay button on your own Live, it reads the commenter username, comment text and profile-picture URL shown on that page and sends them to our backend so your overlay can display them. It does not read your Instagram password, messages, or any other page, and stops when you press Stop. If you enter a webhook URL, comments are also sent to that URL, which you control. Data handled by the extension is used only to provide the overlay, is never sold, and is never used for advertising.

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
To process subscriptions and payments through our payment processor.
To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse.
3. How we share information
We share information with service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, hosting, authentication, and payment processing).
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
We retain your account and configuration data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Captured live comments are processed transiently to render overlays and are not retained beyond what is needed to operate the feature you enabled.
